Children's Ministry

News & Events

We have a great crew of people who are passionate about
sharing God's love with kids. We have ministry for nursery
through elementary age children every Sunday morning.
The Nursery, Preschool and Children's Church are located
on the 3rd floor of our building.

Team Members Needed

We are in need of at least 3 caregivers in our nursery. Pray about
joining our team. Right now is the perfect time to join because we
can prepare and plan for when our nursery will be filled.

Children’s Ministry is one of the most amazing places to serve. If you
would like to teach, lead, or assist please consider becoming a team
member.

If you are interested in any of our children’s ministry areas,
please contact Pastor Corri at: PASTORCORRI@NHCCAG.ORG
or call 508-485-7023 and leave a message on her voicemail.

Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ)

Rich Jackson teaches JBQ on Sunday mornings, beginning at 9 AM.
“Junior Bible Quiz (JBQ) was created and designed to help children
develop a love for the Bible and an understanding that its truth can
guide their lives daily. Junior Bible Quiz offers a fun, exciting way to
motivate children to understand the all-important truths in God’s Word.
Through cooperative learning, children work together on teams to learn
and understand the questions and answers from the Bible Fact-Pak.
Then using cooperative competition the children meet with other teams
for a fun quizzing match. There are twenty questions in a match, with two
teams of quizzers trying to beat each other to the buzzers to get the first
shot at the answers. It has been said that JBQ is the fastest growing
discipleship program in children’s ministry.” - JUNIOR BIBLE QUIZ

About Us

Nursery

Laura Schifferdecker oversees our Nursery and she and her crew are fabulous. Our nursery ministers to infants and children up to 2 years of age. The nursery is located on the 3rd floor of our building.

Our goal in the New Hope Community Church Nursery is to provide a safe, warm and nurturing environment for our little disciples to grow. We will accomplish this by providing the right people, the right atmosphere, and the right curriculum in order to build strong spiritual foundations in our infants.

Next to family and close friends, the church nursery staff is perhaps the first time an infant is left with people entrusted with the care of our babies. The staff, along with the room environment, conveys the first impressions a child receives about both the church and God. We take the responsibility very seriously and want each child to associate love and security with our church nursery.

Preschool

Early Childhood is one of the most exciting stages in life. It is during this time that children can begin to think about who they are and start forming their sense of self. What better time is there for them to learn that Jesus values and loves them for who they are? The preschool children join us when they are 24 months and move to Children’s Church when they begin Kindergarten.

Our preschool teachers LOVE your children! They bring such joy and smiles to our faces as they play, sing, and learn all about Jesus. These teachers are the cream of the crop! The kids have fun learning about the Bible through innovative and creative teaching such as puppets, role playing, drawing, and more. It is exciting to be a part of our preschool team!

Children's Church

The children’s church has a service for children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade.

We model our Children’s Church service after the adult’s service in that we have praise & worship, prayer, offering, a mini-“sermon,” and altar times, but we also have puppet shows, games, video clips, and specials!

Our children take part in almost every aspect of their service. We have the children help lead praise & worship, run the computer, lead a prayer, and take part in puppetry. In this way the children get “on the job” training in specific ministry areas that interest them.
