In Matthew chapter's 6 and 7 Jesus gave us instruction on prayer.  He taught us in chapter 6 to get alone with God and pray with purpose.  Prayer is talking to God.  It is sharing yourself with Him.  He gave us a pattern to follow through what we call the Lord's Prayer in Matthew chapter 6 verses 7-14.  This pattern is Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication (a fancy word that means to state your request) or ACTS for short.  If you're new in your relationship with Christ or just don't know what to say to God then follow this pattern of prayer.  Jesus gave it to us for that reason - pray with PURPOSE!

In Matthew chapter 7 verses 7-11 Jesus taught us on persevering in prayer.  In verses 7 & 8 He said, "Keep on asking, and you will be given what you ask for. Keep on looking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened.  For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And the door is opened to everyone who knocks."  He goes on to say in verses 9-11 that God is a good God who will give His children good gifts.  We don't always get what we ask for but we do get what we need.  Sometimes the answer is yes, sometimes the answer is no and sometimes the answer is wait.  No matter the answer God uses this time of interaction with us to help us grow in our relationship and understanding of Him.  He does love us with an everlasting love.

If you have a need in your life or an answer to something we have agreed in prayer with you about please take a moment and let us know about it.  We pray weekly for each prayer request as well as to give God glory for the answer to our prayers.  We are here for you.

Together we are the Body of Christ and we lift one another up through the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord as led by the Holy Spirit!  God is GOOD!
